The eighth grade is finishing a chapter on solving equations. The chapter also gave them more practice with combining like terms and the distributive property, which are important concepts in math. Even though there were some challenging word problems in the chapter, they have done a great job and I am proud of them. After Christmas, we will be starting a chapter on ratios, proportions, and probability.
