Members of the Chambers Academy eighth grade class complete the year with a new friend… a virtual friend. Carl Azuz, anchor for Teen CNN became a common name among the class as Azuz presents daily top news articles from around the world. The program is a ten-minute, commercial-free daily news program designed for middle and high school classes. It is produced by the journalist at CNN. Though it is available on television, its companion website is available free throughout the school year. “I learned a lot about new things that are going on and it is always fun to watch,” said Logan. “It’s always interesting when they do the ‘shout-outs’ for schools around the world. We submitted our name and hopefully, one day we will see the Rebels from Chambers Academy in Lafayette, Alabama, announced,” said Cody.
